First of all, nobody does rock stars like Kylie. But this is also a small town book, which is not always what she writes. And, wow, I loved this small town. It was quirky and imperfect like a small town really is. Everyone is up in our heroine’s business, all the time. It’s hilarious. :)

I would characterize this book as a light read. Both Garrett and Ani have some deep scars, but somehow the book avoids turning into an angst fest, and their banter shines through.
